NUR 230 Nursing Concepts Across the Lifespan

This course builds on previous learned skills and concepts and introduces patient centered holistic care across the life span and special populations. Emphasis will be on the application of learned concepts to the pediatric and obstetric population and introduction of new concepts in providing care to the adult patient. Key concepts and exemplars in the course include developmental delays and disorders, family dynamics, reproduction, perfusion, and gas exchange. Clinical practice experiences provide opportunities to integrate the concepts presented throughout the course in the clinical setting.
