NUR 130 Nursing Concepts for Adult Health
This course builds on previous skills and concepts for the provision of patient centered-holistic care. Emphasis will be on the continued development of therapeutic communication, health assessment, spirit of inquiry, and clinical judgment. Key concepts and exemplars in the course include cellular regulation, intracranial perfusion, hormonal regulation, nutrition, elimination, gas exchange, mood/affect, anxiety, and psychosis; mental health will be highlighted. Clinical practice experiences provide opportunities to integrate the concepts presented throughout the course in the clinical setting.
