OCCU 615 Adaptations and Assistive Technology

This course focuses on adaptations and the use of assistive technology to maximize function and occupational performance across the lifespan. Application of clinical reasoning skills as related to the selection, procurement, modification and training in the use of assistive technology will be emphasized. Evaluation and intervention related to assistive technology will be explored. Course topics will include mobility, communication, activities of daily living, low vision, orthotics/prosthetics, environmental modifications, and electronic devices.
