MUGE 218 Music Through Guitar

Students will explore the role of the guitar and related fretted strings throughout the various historical periods from the Renaissance through the 20th century. Class members experience the basic elements of music as they learn to perform chords and melodies on the guitar. Other activities include watching videos, listening to recorded guitar music, and attendance at live concerts. Class members must supply their own guitars. Two class sessions and one-hour lab weekly. Meets QuEST/General Education Arts requirements.
