ART 2430 Ceramics III
This is an advanced course in ceramics. Students are allowed the freedom to explore a variety of ceramic forming techniques or to focus on one. Advanced kiln firing and glazing techniques will also be covered. In addition, students will be encouraged to continue developing techniques and concepts related to ceramics. Prerequisites: Completion of
ART 2420 or instructor's permission. (2 lect., 4 lab)

Outcomes
In order to successfully complete this course, the student will:
1. Critique their work along with other students’ work in an articulate and constructive manner.
2. Load and fire various types of kilns.
3. Create a portfolio of artworks using advanced ceramic processes and techniques with high level of mastery.
