CEP 443 Fundraising & Grant Writing
This course will provide an introduction to fundraising for nonprofit organizations. Sources and strategies for generating revenue will be covered including corporate, foundation, and government grants, annual giving, earned revenue and special events. Students will gain practical experience through the course assignments, lectures and readings. Class sessions will be a combination of instructor presentations and student discussions. Guest speakers will give a "real world" perspective to the discussions throughout the semester. This course includes field-experience(s) in local community and/or community-based settings. Students are responsible for their own transportation.
