Mission

In support of the Mission and Vision of West Liberty University, the College of Liberal and Creative Arts will provide liberal arts courses and curricula of the highest possible quality, with the ultimate goal of preparing all West Liberty University students to become rational, well-informed and engaged global citizens, prepared for success in advanced academic studies or their careers.

Vision

To accomplish our mission, we will

• deliver courses and curricula that provide students the opportunity to develop
• the ability to read and think critically
• effective written communication skills
• well-informed temporal and spatial perspectives
• an understanding of the structures and functions of society
• provide contemporary, discipline-specific skills to majors in liberal arts programs
• promote students’ appreciation of diversity and their ability to understand and value multiple perspectives
• promote the production of knowledge through the scholarly activities of our faculty and students.
