CEP 421 Promoting Creativity & the Arts
This course will highlight the importance of promoting creativity and the arts through the exploration of what creativity is, how the arts relate to it, and why both of them are essential in formal and non-formal education. Special attention will be given to 1) 21st century skills/the creative process; 2) using creativity and the arts to design interdisciplinary units/learning environments; and 3) increasing awareness about the arts, their place in our society/community, and their important contributions to various fields. This course includes field-experience(s) in local community and/or community-based settings. Students are responsible for their own transportation.
