OCCU 515 Therapeutic Skills

This course covers fundamental skills for effective practice. Students learn effective communication principles and apply them when conducting interviews, occupational profiles and eliciting client narratives. Emphasis is placed on the therapeutic use of self to promote client-centered practice and outcomes. The students understand principles of group dynamics; practicing the role of group leader and facilitation skills.
