OCCU 540 Research Methods & Design II

In this course students learn about survey development, interview skills, focus group data collection, analysis, and interpretation strategies. Students develop skills in selection, application, and interpretation of basic descriptive, correlational, and inferential quantitative statistics. Analysis and synthesis of qualitative data, ethical research conduct and the process of the institutional review board are discussed. Upon completion of this course, student groups submit a research proposal to the Institutional Review Board under the supervision of a faculty research mentor.
