BIO 360 Drugs, Brain & Behavior

Introduction to neuroscience and pharmacology of the central nervous system through understanding the effects of various substances on brain function. Focus will be the biological mechanisms through which psychoactive drugs produce changes in behavior. Course content will include commonly abused drugs, current theories of addiction, and mechanisms of drugs used to create psychiatric disorders. Primarily for biology majors and minors, students in pre-professional programs and advances students in the health professions.
