MECE 2140 Engineering Materials Laboratory

This lab is an introduction to the characterization of crystallographic and microstructural properties of solids and the relationship of these characteristics to the mechanical behavior of metallic, polymeric, and composite materials. Course focus is on the use of industrial and research grade instrumentation to solve realistic problems in materials selection and materials engineering.

A grade of 'C' or better in CHEM 1309 and CHEM 1109 or CHEM 1312 and CHEM 1112, and credit/registration in MECE 2340.
