ANTH 4308 Conquistadors and Chiefs: A Comparative Colonialism of Northern New Spain

This course covers Spanish and Native American interactions in what is today the Southeastern United States, Texas and California. Emphasis will be placed on how the social and natural environment was changed in these areas. Examination of these changes will be done through the documentary and archaeological records. Equivalent course: HIST 4302.
