MEDA 1520 Clinical Role of the Medical Assistant I
This course is designed to provide the student with the theory and practical applications associated with the clinical role of the medical assistant. Course topics will provide the student with the knowledge and skills necessary to assist the healthcare provider with routine and emergent medical care for patients in a variety of healthcare settings. The student will be required to complete a background check and drug screen. Prerequisite: Completion of or concurrent enrollment in
NRST 1200, and
ZOO 1200 or
