Program Description

The Applied Technologies Management AS degree prepares graduates of Career Certificate Programs (CCP), technical college industrial programs, and Florida Department of Education apprenticeships for supervisory and entry-level management roles in South Florida's technical industries. Students who complete a Palm Beach State or Technical College industrial program or a Florida Department of Education apprenticeship program may qualify for college credit. Upon completing the specific technical or apprenticeship program, students may be eligible for 27 credits toward the Associate of Science in Applied Technology Management degree. The remaining 33 credits build business, management, communication, and analytical skills through general education and coursework in microcomputer applications, marketing, human relations, business communications, and management principles.

Admission Requirements

  • Have a standard high school diploma or GED; and
  • Complete an Application for Admission, located at www.pbsc.edu/Admissions.
  • Attend a program information session.
  • Permission of the program.
  • Documented completion of a 600+ hour Florida Department of Education Career & Technical Education (CTE) Career Certificate Program (CCP) in one of the following career cluster areas: Architecture & Construction, Transportation, Distribution & Logistics, Cosmetology/Barbering, or Manufacturing.

OR

  • Documented completion of a 600+ hour Florida Department of Education Career & Technical Education (CTE) Registered Apprenticeship in Construction, Transportation, or Manufactureing.
