NUR 418 Professional Nursing Concepts III

This is the third course in a four-part series focusing on the professional roles and responsibilities of the nurse. Emphasis is placed on leadership strategies to promote population health and address diverse needs of communities. Students will analyze community data and consider health policies in planning for community-based needs. Disaster preparedness will also be explored. Clinical experiences provide opportunities to use community resources and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered, population-focused care.
