FMT 1510 Grounds Keeping
This course introduces students to the grounds safety hazards, tools and equipment safety and operation. Students are taught accident prevention practice, shop housekeeping, equipment inspections and preventative maintenance. Emphasis is also placed on sustainable landscaping, mulching and composting, planting techniques, caring for lawn, trees, and shrubs. Students are taught water managements systems and conservation practices. Students are provided opportunities to develop and apply grounds maintenance skills including safety, work ethic, technical skills. (1 lect., 2 lab)
