AUTO 2520 Engine Performance II
This course is a continuation of Engine Performance I. Areas of study include ignition systems, computerized powertrain controls, computer networks, emission control systems, OBDI/OBDII systems, and diagnostic procedures. Prerequisite: Completion of AUTO 2510. (2 lect., 4 lab)

Outcomes
In order to successfully complete this course, the student will:
1. Safely perform labor operations related to diagnosis and repair of automotive engine performance systems.
2. Demonstrate effective written communication with service writers and customers through repair order write-ups.
3. Identify concepts and theories related to ignition systems.
4. Identify concepts and theories related to computerized powertrain controls.
5. Identify concepts and theories related to computer networks.
6. Identify concepts and theories related to emission-control systems.
7. Identify concepts and theories related to OBDI/OBDII systems.
