SPED 360 Home-Based Interventions
This course provides students with an understanding of home-based services provided to individuals with disabilities and delays across the lifespan, with a focus on Part C early intervention services (home-based services provided to infants and toddlers). Students will study the models and approaches of early intervention including family-centered, routine-based, relationship focused, multi-disciplinary, and primary-service provider. There is a focus on designing individualized family service plans, including determining eligibility, designing family and child outcomes, determining appropriate services, and creating transition plans. Students will also design developmentally appropriate home-visit activity plans and interventions for infants and toddlers and adults receiving home-based services. A letter grade of a "C" is required.
