REL 335 Religions of America
An introduction to the history, themes, and issues in American religion from the pre-colonial period to the present. The principal religious traditions and movements that have shaped American culture are examined, including Native American and African American traditions. Protestantism, Catholicism, and Judaism. Newer religious movements along with non-Christian groups and the religious traditions of immigrants and ethnic populations, are also studied.
