CEP 333 Leadership in Faith Organizations
Youth Ministry cannot merely be done on the macro-relationship level. Private needs and problems inevitably might surface and Youth Ministry quickly turns into youth counseling. Students in this course will be given tools they can use to evaluate and understand the various problems presented to them. Various community resources to support children and adolescents in crisis will be explored and discussed. Special emphasis will be given on active listening and engagement in the Youth Ministry settings. This course includes field-experience(s) in local community and/or community-based settings. Students are responsible for their own transportation.
