BIO 421 Epidemiology of Infectious Disease

Basic principles and interpretation of epidemiological studies. Topics will include the dynamics of disease transmission, morbidity, mortality, prevalence, risk, odds, and study design. Students will learn the basics of an outbreak investigation and be exposed to the public health policy using recent pandemics as a basis for discussion.
