PSYC 6353 Individual Therapy/Clinical Fundamentals

An overview of history, theory and practice of evidence-based psychological and biological treatments for psychological disorders, including an overview of individual therapy with Hispanic Individuals. This course will support and prepare students for their clinical practicum teaching them the fundamentals of assessment and evidence based intervention, developing a formulation based approach to assessment and intervention, the basics of cognitive behavior therapy and discover basic clinical strengths and areas of growth.
