ENGR 351 Analysis and Dynamics of Structures

This course includes an introduction to structural systems and basic analysis methods for beams, frames, and trusses. Topics covered include the analysis of statically determinate and indeterminate structures, deflection calculations, influence lines, and an introduction to the stiffness method and a software package for structural analysis. Furthermore, students are introduced to the dynamic response of structures, particularly with application to earthquake analysis.
