ECON 313 Economic Development II

The main goal of this course is to get students to begin to think critically about development theory and practice. The course analyzes cross-country differences in development and focusses on problems related to the process of economic development, in the countries of Asia, Africa, and Latin America in particular. Special topics include the gendered impact of economic development policy, the international economics of development, and development strategies.
