URBS 260 Cross Cultural Studies

This course addresses the theory and practice of navigating and interpreting the complex social context of the urban landscape with an emphasis on either North-Central Philadelphia or Harrisburg. The city serves as the setting for developing transferable skills in cross-cultural examination, understanding, and practice. Students will study the forces at work in shaping the city and will develop and refine skills in cross-cultural observation to better understand local and global cultures and the issues at play in the US urban landscape. Meets General Education Cross-Cultural requirement.
