SOWK 484 Preparation for Field Practice

This course is designed to prepare students for entering their senior year field practice experience. Student and agency expectations will be discussed regarding objectives, procedures, roles and responsibilities as well as relevant practice issues such as record keeping, stress management, and use of supervision in practice. Practical information regarding agency placements will be reviewed. Final coordination and student interviews with prospective placement will occur during this course. Limited to Senior SOWK majors or approval by instructor.
