IAEP 111 Academic Writing I

This course provides international students an opportunity to develop academic writing skills. Students will learn and apply intermediate level academic writing skills and strategies to improve their writing ability and fluency. This course will help students gain an understanding of the components of a well-written paragraph and essay. Students will apply their knowledge to plan and compose various types of academic paragraphs and essays. This course will help students build their academic vocabulary asthey use corpus-informed vocabulary, collocations, and phrases to complete writing assignments. Students will learn skills to help them avoid plagiarism and express their own ideas.
