EDUC 346 Socio-Cultural Perspectives on Education

Study of socio-cultural variability and diversity in educational settings. Theoretical, empirical, and applied analysis of the effects of cultural variables (e.g., socioeconomic, ethnic, racial, linguistic, familial) on teaching-learning processes, instructional resources, and educational systems within a variety of learning environments (e.g., urban, suburban, rural, transient). Meets General Education Pluralism in Contemporary Society requirement.
