CIS 171 Problem Solving with Computers

This course is a broad and hands-on exposure to the capabilities and uses of computer software. Course projects introduce students to problems that computers can solve and various tools (programs or applications) used for these solutions. These tools include developing Internet web pages, using graphics, spreadsheets, and database applications. Students participate in a team project to design and launch a website that will benefit web users practically and/or spiritually. Meets QuEST/General Education Mathematical Sciences requirement.
