CHEM 309 Organic Chemistry I

The characterization and chemistry of simple carbon compounds as organized by functional group. This includes nomenclature, three-dimensional structure, physical properties, reaction mechanisms, kinetics, thermodynamics, reactions, and NMR and IR spectroscopy. Three lectures and four hours of laboratory per week. Lab Fee: $65.
