Tribal Historic Preservation Officer Certificate II

Program Description

The Tribal Historical Preservation Officer Certificate II is intended to provide a culturally and academically sound program to train entry-level professionals working for the Northern Arapaho and Eastern Shoshone Tribal Historic Preservation Offices. The student will assist in the preservation of important historic and cultural properties and artifacts. Observational and technical skills utilized by professional archaeologists are taught in order to ensure accurate site surveys and appropriate culturally-sensitive treatment of artifacts and properties. The student will communicate the site survey results through written reports and oral presentations.
