BIO 212 Anatomy & Physiology I (Health Professions)
The first in a two-course sequence that examines the fundamental structure and function of the human body, emphasizing the physiology of the major systems including the integumentary, musculoskeletal, nervous, and endocrine systems. Three hours of lecture plus a two-hour active study session per week. The course is designed for students in the health professions, not for biology majors. Students are expected to have a knowledge background equivalent to one year of high school biology and chemistry. Biological Principles (BIO 124/125) is a course strongly recommended as a prerequisite.
Corequisite
The active study session must be taken concurrently.
