ATC 501 History and Development of Art Therapy

This course will help students to understand the historical development of art therapy as a profession, and theories and techniques as a foundation for contemporary clinical practice. An overview of approaches and theory from related fields will be examined as well as the continuum of art therapy practice, and the development of art therapy as a distinct therapeutic profession.
