EP 456 Cardiac Rehabilitation Lab

This is an EKG lab. The focus of this course is on EKG interpretation. Emphasis is placed on 12-lead and 3-lead EKG set up, interpretation of heart cycle waves, complexes and segments during rest and exercise. Heart rate, rhythm, axis, hypertrophy, and infarction will be assessed along with various EKG tracings in order to identify various arrhythmias, blocks, syndromes, etc. Corresponding exercise prescription will be part of the educational experience. A grade of "C" or better is required.

Must be taken concurrently with EP 454.
