Student Union

The Student Union is considered the living room of Campus. The buildings host numerous Campus events hat enrich student life and promote continuous learning outside the classroom; serving students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community.

The Brownsville Student Union has dining options inside the Plains Capital Bank El Comedor, including SubConnection and Pizza Hut. Students looking to get involved in campus activities can visit the Student Involvement Office on the 1st floor. La Sala is an open lounge available for students to meet up with friends and study. Located on the 2nd floor, the PlainsCapital Bank El Gran Salon, a large ballroom, holds numerous Campus wide events such as The Best Week Ever activities, Career Fairs and the popular Breakfast Wrangler. -

The Edinburg Student Union also has a Food Court offering Pizza Hut, El Pato, Chick-fil-a, and SubConnection. The Plains-Capital Bank Theater features University events year-round such as film showings, campus speakers, departmental presentations and many other performances.

If you need assistance, you can stop by the Information Desk to ask a question. Students can also reserve Study Rooms and check-out equipment for y Campus events. Other amenities include the Vaquero ID Card Office, an ATM machine, convenience store and the SU Café Lounge (which serves Starbucks coffee). Meeting rooms are available for all registered student organizations and University departments.

Students can relax in either Game Room, located at both Student Unions, by playing billiards, board and video games. Events and tournaments are held monthly. Both buildings offer wireless printing, cell phone charging stations and microwaves.
