EPSY 6364 ABA 4: Fundamental Elements of Behavior Change and Specific Behavior-Change Procedures

This course is the fourth of six courses designed to meet the requirements of the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) approved course sequence. The content of this course comes from the BACB Fourth Edition Task List, Section I (Basic Behavior-Analytic Skills), subsection D (Fundamental Elements of Behavior Change) and subsection E (Specific Behavior-Change Procedures). The presentation of the content of this course is designed to provide advanced knowledge and skills of behavioral interventions designed for both skill acquisition and problem behavior reduction. Considerations of ethical, social, and cultural variables affecting the selection and effectiveness of intervention strategies are also included. Assignments in this course provide opportunities for students to demonstrate skills as well as to critically evaluate various intervention procedures and identify opportunities to promote generalization and maintenance of treatment outcomes.
