EPSY 6363 ABA3: Measurement, Data Display, Interpretation and Experimental Design

This course is the third of six courses designed to meet the requirements of the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) approved course sequence. The content of this course comes from the BACB Fourth Edition Task List, Section I (Basic Behavior-Analytic Skills), subsections A-Measurement and B-Experimental Design. Section I includes tasks that a practicing behavior analyst will perform with some, but probably not all clients. These tasks represent basic, commonly used skills and procedures. The content of this course also comes from Section II of the Task List (Client-Centered Responsibilities), subsection H-Measurement. This section includes tasks related to working with all clients and they should apply in most applied situations. Specific concepts covered include: measurable dimensions of behavior; construction and interpretation of graphic displays of behavioral data; in-depth review of various research designs; schedules of observation and recording periods, evaluation of client progress based on review of visual representation of behavior.
