HSC 353 Human Pathophysiology
Understanding disease processes to provide an understanding of the mechanisms and progression of altered health states is necessary for professionals involved in clinical treatment and for understanding the basic scientific principles of this physiological state. Understanding of pathophysiology will aid in the effective indentification of patient risk factor by clnicians. This understanding will help anticipate and prevent complications associated with various diseases and build a knowledge base directly applicable in the clinical setting and as a background for applying basic scientific principles in understanding the cellular, biochemical, and physiological basis for the disease state.
