HLTH-601 The Healthcare System
This course provides an in-depth examination of the historical evolution of the U.S. healthcare system, mapping key components, influential events, and current and future trends. Students will understand the organization, financing mechanisms, and major policies, focusing on a system view and how the various parts interact and impact the system's outcomes. The course also addresses the major challenges, issues, policies, and reforms that have shaped and continue to influence the U.S. healthcare system.
