PHYS 212 General Physics II

Second of a two-semester calculus-based general physics sequence. Builds on basics of classical mechanics and other methods introduced in PHYS 211. Emphasis on concepts, calculations, measurements, problem solving, and applications. Topics include mechanical oscillations and waves, electrostatics, electricity, and magnetism and light. Required for engineering, mathematics, chemistry and physics majors; Recommended for computer science majors.
