COMM 243 Audio/Visual Newsgathering

This course will introduce students to basic techniques of reporting with and editing sound and video. The emphasis of this course will be on the use of digital audio and video recorders in the field to produce news stories for radio, television, and the web. This course will provide fundamental instruction in standard audio and video editing software utilized in the industry. COMM 112 strongly recommended prior to taking COMM 243.
