CIS 102 Competitive Programming

This re-entrant course focuses on preparing the student for competitive programming. Students learn to solve difficult problems quickly and accurately utilizing various algorithms and implementation techniques. Problem solving strategies will be addressed using past contest problems as examples. The course will conclude with a culminating competition such as the ACM ICPC regional competition at Shippensburg in the fall semester and Dickinson Programming Competition in the spring. Additional competitions will be held with other schools as arranged.
