BIBL 307 Biblical Backgrounds

Study of non-biblical resources that contribute to understanding the historical, theological, and cultural landscape of the ancient Mediterranean world. Readings will include selections from sources such as the Dead Sea Scrolls, Josephus, the Apocrypha, and the Pseudepigrapha. Material resources from archaeology might also be studied.
