OCCU 555 Neurological Conditions in OT Practice
This course examines the structure and function of the human nervous system with practical applications to occupational therapy practice. Students examine the effects of neurological dysfunction and conditions associated with the nervous system on occupational performance across the lifespan. Occupation-based models, frames of reference, assessment tools, and an introduction to intervention strategies used when working with persons with neurological and neurodegenerative conditions will be addressed.
