COUN 526 Organization and Administration of School Counseling Programs

This course covers the nature, development, and management of school counseling programs, including the differences between elementary and secondary school contexts. Students will learn to assess, plan, and integrate the elements of a comprehensive school counseling program that reflects the programmatic and ethical standards of the ASCA NM. A special focus will be given to the academic achievement and college and career readiness of students. Consideration will be given to the use of both formative and summative data disaggregation and analysis to ascertain the success of program elements.
