President’s Welcome
Dear Mercy College Students:
Welcome to Mercy College of Ohio, a Catholic institution that educates students in the tradition of the Religious Sisters of Mercy and the Sisters of Charity of Montreal (Grey Nuns). Mercy College of Ohio is an affiliate of Bon Secours Mercy Health, one of the nation’s largest and most respected healthcare systems, with locations in the United States and abroad.
Mercy College has programs at the certificate, undergraduate and graduate levels with Physician Assistant (PA) being our newest graduate program, which started in May 2021 with 20 students. The Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) program also started in summer 2021.
The College opened the Daniel J. Hanson Learning Commons in fall 2021, which houses two modern classrooms, three collaborative rooms, and two large study areas for students. The Center for Teaching and Learning Innovation that will be used by faculty and students is nearing completion. The Physician Assistant students are enjoying their newly renovated space that houses a classroom/laboratory, study spaces, lounge, kitchen, team-based rooms, conference rooms, locker rooms and much more.
College faculty and staff seek to inspire students to a commitment of lifelong learning and social responsibility in the spirit of the Mercy heritage and values. The College is committed to providing all students with a high-quality education that prepares them for their respective careers. Students in clinical programs graduate as proficient, knowledgeable, and competent healthcare professionals. Graduates of nonclinical programs are knowledgeable in the administrative functions of healthcare and are prepared to provide exceptional service in a caring manner. The certificate programs prepare students to work in specialized fields upon completion. Regardless of the program selected, Mercy College, faculty, staff, and administration want you to succeed in reaching your goals!
WELCOME TO MERCY COLLEGE!
