Overview
About the Program
The Robotics Certificate will prepare students to work with robots commonly used in manufacturing and production environments. Students will learn coordinate systems, mechanical and electrical components, programming and troubleshooting, end-of-arm tooling, and the integration of robots in work cells and assembly lines.
Learning Outcomes
- Interpret mechanical and electrical drawings and details using appropriate fundamental engineering principles
- Program industrial robots manufactured from both Yaskawa Motoman and Fanuc Program
- Troubleshoot systems controlled by programmable logic controllers.
- Follow required mechanical, electrical and environmental safety procedures.
- Work both independently and as an integral part of a technical team.

Application Requirements
- MTC Application for Admission and nonrefundable applicable fee.
- Final high school transcript (or GED results) and college transcripts (if applicable).

Demonstrate college-readiness by achieving the required minimum score on a placement test, successfully completing any required college foundation courses, or satisfying other measures including but not limited to high school coursework, previous college coursework, samples of work, etc.
