PSY2970 Mental/Behavioral Health Clinical

This course provides students with the clinical experience needed to practice in the mental/behavioral health field. This course takes place in clinical and outpatient settings, with actual patient contact under supervision of clinical professional. The student will rotate through assigned clinical areas and meet weekly to ensure clinical goals are being met. The student will be completing clinical competencies needed for the field, will follow all policies/procedures and maintain all legal and ethical guidelines and behaviors of the program. Students will devote a total of 75 hours per rotation in each of four different settings to the clinical experience and attend weekly class meetings. 300 hours are required to complete the clinical experience. Course is repeatable to fulfill required hours.
