PHY1200 Physics I
College algebra based physics to include Kinematics in one and two dimensions; vector arithmetric; force and Newton's Laws of Motion and Gravitation; work, energy, and conservation of energy; linear momentum and collisions, rotational energy; simple harmonic motion; waves and sound; solid and fluid properties; heat and thermodynamics; kinetic theory of gases; collection, analysis and reporting of data; problem-solving using college algebra concepts and methods.
Prerequisite
MTH1245, can be taken concurrently; PHY1210 must be taken concurrently.
